His plan, developed in collaboration with renowned Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson, is inspired, according to the author, by the aurora borealis and spectacular natural landscapes of Iceland.

The new building will be located on the seashore; its glittering walls will reflect the sky and harbor of Reykjavik. The facades of the center, made according to Eliasson's sketches, will be a crystal lattice of glass and steel. Glass prisms will absorb and reflect light, and the overall impression of the building will vary with the time of day and season.

The balconies of the main lobby will offer views of the city center, Mount Esja and the glacier at Snefells Jökull.

The construction of the center is part of the Reykjavik Harbor Master Plan, which includes the construction of a five-star hotel, fitness center, art academy, bank building, cinema, as well as a new square and street with shops, residential areas and office complexes along the coast of the fjord. Thus, the area of the central part of the city will increase by 85,000 sq. M.
