In recent years, Aleksandrov has built and reconstructed several buildings in the Dmitrovka area. In Dmitrovsky lane, 5-7 - a new residential complex. Nearby - in Dmitrovsky lane, 3 - he reconstructed an architectural monument of the second half of the 19th century as an administrative building, the Egorovs' estate (in collaboration with Grigory Kochetkov and Marina Kornacheva). Directly on Bolshaya Dmitrovka (at addresses: 14, 16 bldg. 1, 18) it is carrying out a comprehensive reconstruction with elements of new construction. But the new one differs from all previous objects in its self-sufficient aesthetics of modern forms, built, however, within the dimensions of the surrounding historical buildings.

An irregular grid of oblong skylights is scattered across all four facades of the building. A possible lack of natural light is compensated for by the stepped composition of the main facade with stained glass windows in zigzag folds, a transparent gallery on the top floor, and continuous glazing of the protruding volumes along the ends and facade plane of the courtyard part of the building. The system of perforation of openings is, according to the author, the answer to the density of the building, excluding the “window-to-window” situation typical for vis-a-vie buildings. The rhythmic division of facades into volumes docked at an angle and their perforation by means of different geometries of windows is dictated by the relationship of the building with a detailed historical context. The rejection of the monotonous "purity" of modern forms is fundamental.

The first - partially through - floor simulates an artificial street connecting previously built and newly built residential complexes. The difference in relief of more than two meters allowed the author, having built a small ramp, to create a pedestrian space, the visitors of which have original views of the zigzag console of the main facade. The feeling of the inner street is supported by natural stone used in the decoration of the basement and first floors of the building, as well as by elements of vertical landscaping.
