Seidler was one of the most prominent representatives of modernism in Australia. He brought his own version of this trend from the USA, where he studied with Gropius and Breuer, and did not deviate from his principles until the end of his life.

His first construction on the continent was a house he designed in 1948 for his mother, Rosa Seidler. His laconic rectangular shapes, glass and concrete as the only building materials, open plan - all this instantly brought him fame and popularity among customers.

Seidler's second most important building was the 50-story skyscraper on Australia Square in Sydney (1961-1967). It was one of the first round high-rise buildings in the world and pioneered the construction of high-rise buildings in Australian cities.

Until now, it is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the country.

The architect's third landmark work is the Australian Embassy in Paris (1973 - 1977), next to the Eiffel Tower. In two days, Seidler managed to bring the project in accordance with French building legislation and supplemented it with a residential building, in which the windows of all apartments overlook the Eiffel Tower.
