The new building is named Eagle House - "the house of the eagle". It will include a high-rise residential building, shops, offices, including for new small businesses opened by residents of Hackney County, where the new building will be located. There will also be a supermarket and a fitness club. Pedestrians should be attracted by the boutiques and restaurants facing the street. In general, Eagle House should become the community center of the area and simply an architectural landmark. Its height is about 100 m (34 floors).
Its appearance should stimulate the renewal of buildings in this London district. In parallel, the building-monument of local importance, located next to the construction site, will be restored and reconstructed.
The project is a streamlined glass tower surrounded by lower buildings. From the side of the intersection, it is closed by a volume reminiscent of the Chicago skyscrapers of the turn of the century. Thus, even using the most refined, geometric shapes, Farrell, the author of the famous MI6 headquarters on the banks of the Thames, remains true to the principles of postmodernism.
