GAM open 2005 - open championship in Germany - was held in two disciplines - actually alpine skiing and snowboarding. A total of 260 architects from Germany and abroad took part in it.
Among them were employees of Norman Foster's bureau, Schneider & Schumacher, Hild & K.
The welcome reception in the old town hall and the farewell dinner in the Villa Jauss created a festive mood appropriate for the occasion, relieving the tension of the athletes created by the competition.
Architectural firms Shel / Inselbacher, Bab Architectin and Shinais Architectin were leading in the team competition. Werner Sobek were in seventh and Baumschlager und Eberle in tenth. The British from Lord Foster's bureau took only 15th place out of 22.
