The end of the Kalinin line is an interchange hub: hundreds of residents of Novogireevo, Reutov and Kosino who travel further to the center by metro leave their cars here every day. The square at the exit from the metro is the epicenter of trade, interspersed with business and recreational functions. The square houses the Perovsky trading house, the Formula Kino cinema (formerly Kyrgyzstan), and offices. Space for cars is in short supply.

The desire of the owners of the Perovskiy trading house to "upgrade" the building by adding a floor and increasing modern communications caused a counter condition on the part of the district authorities - to solve the parking problem. Architects Nikolai Lyzlov and Alexander Krokhin came up with a non-trivial move: to raise the area to the level of one floor, and make the resulting basement tier a transit one: a place for passage and transfers for metro passengers and cars, which can be placed in the three-level underground parking provided by the project. The number of parking levels is determined by the diagonal of the ramp, which the length of the site allows to lead underground. The ramp is designed with two lanes and branches for each of the three levels of the underground parking.

The square is at the zero level of the buildings located along its perimeter, since now it is located lower down to it, long "Potemkin" stairs descend. Created 28 years ago as a place for walking, later the square was occupied by cars, then by spontaneous trade, and now the space is being returned to people again.

The apotheosis of the architects' work is a new fourteen-storey office building behind Perovsky. Its facade is divided vertically into two unequal parts, two white screens are asymmetrically superimposed on the glazed surfaces, the right one is larger and with a cutout so that the whole composition vaguely resembles a nut and a wrench, or a hand with a ball, depicted with the maximum degree of abstraction - rectangles … The combination of a "clean" glass surface not burdened with frames and flat geometric planes creates a strange feeling that the walls and windows in this building have regrouped according to an arbitrary natural principle, as if someone began to move giant spots: everything "wall", opaque two large geometric shapes, and the glass put on the windows "spread" over the remaining surface. The game, visually “eating up” the scale of the building, continues in the building of the trading house itself, standing in front, to which the architects added a new facade, hiding escalators behind it: here, in spite of the actual number of storeys, glass walls and opaque “screens” alternate.

As for the functions of the created space, they are "arranged on the shelves." The ground floor will be occupied by trade located along the trajectory of metro passenger flows. The cars will go underground. The clerks will take the elevators from the underground parking to the offices of the high-rise building. All the signs of pleasant outdoor activities will appear on the square - benches, trees, lawns, even a sign of the square's new recreational meaning - a fountain. As a result, the previously completely "killed" place will acquire the properties of a developed and complex urban environment.
