The ARX awards are being awarded for the first time this year. According to the organizers, its distinctive features are independence from any organizations and, on a par with Russians, foreign experts. The award ceremony will be part of the "architectural week", the second part of which is four master classes by foreign experts of the award (under the general name ARX School), which will be held from November 8 to 10 at the Udarnik cinema.
The award, like never before, demonstrates the inseparability of the bond between architect, developer and builder. This is eloquently evidenced by the nominations unusual for an architectural competition: "Architectural implementation from the standpoint of development", "Manufacturing company supporting modern architecture and design", "Support of high-quality modern architectural solutions". At the same time, the usual architectural nominations, such as construction, design or urban planning, are broken down by more original ones - "structural detail" or "structural scheme of a building". In each nomination, one jury member will select one laureate. So far, less than half of 178 applications have been selected for the shot list. Here's a list of ARX awards nominees:
