The new complex will appear in the city of Ras al-Khaimah, the center of the emirate of the same name and the future capital of the UAE. It will serve as a kind of new gateway to the city. The hotel itself of the "5 plus stars" class will be located in a tower 200 m high, resembling an attacking cobra in shape. The buildings at its foot will house a congress center, halls for commercial exhibitions, and a shopping center. In total, "Cobra" will have almost 300 thousand square meters. m of usable area.
Ras al-Khaimah is the northernmost and wettest emirate of the country, the desert is interspersed with mountain ranges. It was this landscape that served as a source of inspiration for Norwegian architects. According to their project, the new ensemble will have a variety of rooms and green recreational areas, protected from sunlight, closely related to each other and meeting their functions of the complex's tasks.
The facades of the new hotel will be faced with ceramic panels made in Ras al-Khaimah: this emirate is considered one of the world leaders in the production of such building materials.
