The building will be located in the area of the city docks. In shape, the structure of white concrete will resemble a huge mantu stingray. The carriageway - the "back" of the structure, dark, like a real animal, will be four lanes wide: two for trams, two for cars. On the sides - on the "fins" of the bridge - paths for pedestrians and cyclists will be laid, and viewing platforms will be arranged at the farthest protruding points. The architects interpret the two abutments of the bridge as horns of a stingray. The entire lower part of the structure is painted white, which corresponds to the ichthyological prototype of the building, and, thanks to the special illumination at night, it will seem almost floating above the water.
Construction of the new bridge should begin this fall.
