All day long we are all engaged in business, we are late somewhere, and have already finished everything, and no one demands anything from you, but you cannot stop. The more we work, the faster events occur in our business life, the more we want to relax in rare moments of rest and it’s good when the architecture of our housing contributes to the efficiency of this process. When you look at this house, another one designed by Panacom for the Nikolskaya Sloboda settlement, a foreign word that has already entered the Russian lexicon comes to mind - lounge. Architects who, a few years ago, published austere houses and interiors, in which contrasting combinations prevailed, seem to have softened.
A large house (1,500 sq. M.) Is imposingly spread out on its site - like a man who has sat comfortably in a deep armchair with his arms spread out on wide armrests. The site is very advantageous, since it offers a view of the central pond - we have already described the banks of this pond, talking about three other projects that make up the ensemble of the central zone of the settlement.
The house consists of three parts: the first includes a swimming pool with a "pavilion" of the master bedroom above it, the second - a public area, over which there are children's rooms and the third - a one-story block of utility rooms and a garage. In order to combine these parts into a harmonious ensemble, the architects came up with several “scenario miniatures”.
First, the large courtyard was laid out so that the glittering water surface of the public pond in the center of the village could be seen. In order to make the yard more spacious, and the surrounding views more beautiful, the house was located in a corner, in the depths of the site.
The second "miniature" is associated with the "summer cottage" way of life. The main public space, the living room, was turned into a veranda. She found herself between two courtyards. As a result, due to the fully glazed outer walls, the veranda-living room shines through. In addition, open wooden decks of terraces are made on both sides, each of which has an exit. Terraces become a figurative transition from the street to the transparent interior of the living room, and she - to the more closed interior rooms. Thus, instead of the traditional opposition "inside-outside", there is a consistent and smooth flow of space of varying degrees of privacy: courtyard - terrace - transparent living room - house.
The chain of associations is supported by the theme of water, which constantly reminds of itself - outside in the form of a public pond, and inside - in the form of a pool and a small spa, which appeared on the terrace as if a drop separated from the "water element", also a kind of transition.
But the image of the transition-overflow is most vividly manifested in the solution of the facades of the residential part: here the shiny and transparent glass is covered in places by vertical wooden louvers, and somewhere it is adjacent to a blank wooden cladding. Together, these textured delights form a semblance of a continuous ribbon, flowing, vibrating, in which the facade is "wrapped". This allows you to emphasize the horizontal nature of the building, reinforced by developed terraces and awnings, highlighted in white.
If we return to the “miniatures” related to the way of life, one cannot but pay attention to the solution of the second floor. Bedrooms are separate pavilions connected by passages. A glazed gallery connects the parent's room with the children's rooms, and a mezzanine is arranged above the two-story living room, from which you can also disperse to the rooms. By the way, the mezzanine belongs to a separate scenario. According to the authors of the project, recently, customers often offer to provide a "duplicate" of the living room on the second floor of the house - for a more relaxing pastime. It is large enough and with the most splendid views of the pond. In general, the "performance" turned out to be quite fascinating, but moderately light. Exactly as one dreams in the middle of endless working days.
