"Aura" will be shown to the public in one of the most famous buildings of Andrea Palladio this fall, during the Venice Biennale.

The installation will consist of three or four objects, representing a modern interpretation of Palladio's theory of proportions. Hadid emphasizes that her work is not an attempt to transform the master's building or find a secret meaning in its structure, but a kind of "bridge" between the past and the future, emphasizing the atmosphere of Villa Malcontent.

Zaha Hadid took the architectural theory of harmonic proportions as the basis for the development of the Aura project, translating them into musical modes (which was not unusual for Italian humanists of the Renaissance), and then describing them in the form of sound waves of different frequencies. After processing the results obtained with the help of mathematical algorithms, the architect received the "gene code" of the entire system of Palladio's proportions, expressed through the principles of nonlinear geometry.

The abstract “sculptures” formed as a result of these operations do not interfere with the perception of the villa's space and frescoes, but create new schemes for the interaction of its environment with visitors, giving a new, modern meaning to the “anthropocentricity” of Renaissance architecture.
