The new building is an extension to a 19th century neoclassical mansion, but does not attempt to replicate or develop its architectural motives. The asymmetric edges of its facades are made of glass and metal, and the interior of the store appears to passers-by through the windows in unexpected angles. The jury noted this solution as not only interesting from an architectural point of view, but also as ideal for a modern fashion store. Also among the advantages of the project were its ability to connect the existing buildings into a single ensemble and complete it, its living appearance, as well as the harmonious combination of its angular completion with the silhouettes of the roofs of the historic center of Eferding.
Now the project "Delugan Maysl" will be submitted to the city administration for the protection of monuments, in cooperation with which the architects will develop its final version. The Eferding authorities see this work of the workshop as an important “contribution to the reconstruction of the city”.
