At the first stage, from 9 to 13 projects will be selected, and their authors will continue to fight in the second round. The winners will be announced in March 2015.

The project should provide for the availability of public spaces and halls for sports, educational and entertainment events, rooms for the smallest children, rooms for sleeping and resting. Creation of flexible planning elements is encouraged.

There are five nominations in the competition, depending on the number of children for which the kindergarten is designed.

One of the most important components of city life is libraries. Today, there are twenty of them in Copenhagen; for residents, they have become relevant places for meetings and communication. The aim of the competition is to create a new type - "Library 2.0", which at the same time will reflect the traditions and way of life of the townspeople.

Canterbury Earthquake Memorial Ideas Competition. Image: ccdu.govt.nz The memorial aims to perpetuate the tragic events that took place in the New Zealand region of Canterbury and its capital Christchurch in 2010 and 2011: two major earthquakes claimed dozens of lives and severely destroyed the city. At this stage of the competition, participants are invited to submit their ideas anonymously. The six best works, selected by experts, will be further developed in more detail, up to implementation. Construction will take place in 2015-2016.

Photo: biaforum.org The BIA Urban Renewal Forum announces a competition for the best idea for the Cantalojas railway excavation in Bilbao. The goal is to transform the strategically important area from the point of view of the city's development, where several quarters of Bilbao converge. This territory is almost completely covered by railways, which create a barrier affecting the development of adjacent areas and their borders, the parameters of the surrounding buildings, and the mobility of citizens. The BIA Forum is awaiting proposals for revitalizing and unlocking the potential of this territory while preserving its identity.

Information pavilion for the World Exhibition in Milan, competition of ideas. Image: ac-ca.org Milan is the second most populous city in Italy, the capital of fashion and design, the focus of major museums and attractions. More than six million people visit Milan every year.

Expo 2015 (World Expo Park) will be held from May 1 to October 31, 2015. The theme of this World Exhibition will be Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. It covers the fields of technology, culture, tradition and creativity, and how these relate to food and diet. More than 130 countries are expected to take part in the exhibition.

Competitors are invited to design the information pavilion of the exhibition, which, however, is not yet planned to be built. The organizers are primarily aimed at stimulating the development of modern progressive ideas in the field of engineering and design.

The Bauwelt Awards are awarded in the First Works category, ranging from interior design and temporary structures to entire buildings or public space transformations. The main thing is that this was the first independent work of the participant and that it was completed no earlier than September 30, 2011. An unrealized or unfinished project, the implementation of which requires special costs, will receive a special bonus of 5,000 euros.

Works can be submitted to the jury made from nature; drawings representing architectural fantasies of the author, and hand-made sketches of architectural projects or interior projects.

In each nomination, only one "work" is accepted from one participant. However, in accordance with the rules of the competition, a "work" is a series of up to 5 drawings.

Young architects in modern development 2014

The participants of the competition will have to develop a concept for the improvement of a modern yard. A prerequisite is to take into account the needs of all groups of residents: mothers and children, adolescents, pensioners and other citizens. Each participant of the competition can submit no more than 3 draft designs of the courtyard complex. The winners will be selected in the nominations for the best arrangement of the territory as a whole and the best solution for individual zones of the yard.

The interior decoration of the Church of St. Sava in Belgrade

Participants of the competition are required to develop in detail the interior of the church. The criteria for choosing the winners are stylistic unity of space, recognizability of images of faces, connection with tradition.
