Knauf, TechnoNIKOL and ProfStalProkat presented a unique solution for a kindergarten building

Manufacturers of building materials, which occupy leading positions in their market segments, KNAUF, ProfStalProkat and TechnoNIKOL, together with representatives of the project team, invited journalists from leading industry publications to the construction site of a kindergarten in Tula. The use of modern construction technologies made it possible to develop a building project that not only meets all the requirements, but is much more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

The companies "KNAUF", TechnoNIKOL and "ProfStalProkat" have joined forces to solve an important task - to quickly and cost-effectively build kindergartens and reduce the cost of their further operation. As a result of cooperation between manufacturers and a team of Vologda designers, an optimal design solution was found, the implementation of which in a turnkey format is cheaper than the average cost of similar objects built using traditional technologies. At the same time, the building fully meets all modern requirements for the safety of children, including environmental ones, and in terms of its operational characteristics, in particular energy efficiency, it noticeably surpasses them.

The first such kindergarten for 12 groups is being built now in one of the districts of the city of Tula. The building is designed for 240 children, its total area is about 3.5 thousand square meters. The maximum occupancy of the kindergarten is 300 people. The kindergarten is a frame-type building, the main load-bearing elements of which are LSTK-profiles. The external enclosing structures are made according to the KNAUF system. The external wall is based on a load-bearing frame made of steel sheet cold-formed galvanized thermal profiles produced by ProfStalProkat. The outer cladding is made of AQUAPANEL® Outdoor . For sound and heat insulation of the enclosing structures, TECHNOBLOCK and TECHNOVENT stone wool slabs produced by TechnoNIKOL are used. In order to protect the insulation from blowing out in all weather conditions and to ensure the unimpeded escape of water vapor from the thickness of the insulation, the TYVEK ™ hydro-windproof membrane is used.

The total volume of supplies of materials for construction: 160 tons of light steel thin-walled structures, 5 thousand square meters of Knauf gypsum plasterboards, more than 1.5 thousand square meters of AQUAPANEL slabs® Internal "and about 2 thousand square meters -" AQUAPANEL® Outside”, almost 36 thousand square meters of KNAUF gypsum fiber sheets. For thermal insulation of the kindergarten, 1.5 thousand cubic meters of TechnoNICOL stone wool slabs will be used.

The chief architect of the project, Alexander Nechaev: “We have been designing educational institutions from LSTK for more than five years. From our point of view, this is a very promising technology. In particular, it allows us to carry out construction on a small area of the construction site in the conditions of the existing development without the use of heavy construction equipment. The building has a high economic efficiency during construction and operation. On average, in the regions of Russia, the cost of a child in a kindergarten is up to 1 million rubles. A child's place in a kindergarten under construction in Tula according to our project costs 620 thousand rubles. According to Alexander Nechaev, it is expected that the cost of heating the kindergarten will be up to 40% lower than in buildings built using traditional technology, for example, brick. This is confirmed both by calculations in energy certificates and by actual data on the operation of previously constructed residential buildings using the LSTK technology.

The fire-technical characteristics of the building structures of the kindergarten were determined experimentally at VNIIPO. Tests have shown high fire resistance of the external load-bearing wall, internal load-bearing wall and floor. So, in the event of a fire, building structures will be able to withstand the fire for 90 minutes. Fire hazard class "K0".

KNAUF system The outer wall is a multi-layer cake, the main elements of which are thermoprofile, AQUAPANEL boards, insulation materials, gypsum plasterboard, gypsum fiber sheets or AQUAPANEL boards® Internal "as an internal lining. Outside, the building is covered with a finishing decorative and finishing layer, for example, a plaster mix "KNAUF-Diamant", which provides a wide range of possible design solutions.

Head of

AQUAPANEL Artem Klementyev: “During negotiations with high-ranking officials in different regions of the Russian Federation, the idea of building an energy efficient kindergarten was met with great interest. The company's accumulated experience in the field of "dry construction" in terms of energy efficiency, fire safety, functionality in relation to engineering parameters and architectural solutions of buildings allows us to take into account both climatic and economic requirements of a particular region: climatic zone, number of places in a kindergarten, construction cost and exploitation. Building architecture using curved surfaces using AQUAPANEL® Outside "allows you to land a building in any building area

In accordance with SanPiN 2.4.1.2660-10: clause 5.1. the walls of the kindergarten premises should be smooth and have a finish that allows wet cleaning and disinfection. Construction and decoration materials must be harmless to the health of children. All building materials produced by KNAUF, TechnoNIKOL and ProfStalProkat have documents confirming the environmental friendliness of products.

In terms of energy efficiency, such a kindergarten far exceeds modern requirements. According to the energy passport for the facility, the KNAUF Outside Wall technology, with a heat-insulating layer of TechnoNICOL stone wool, made it possible to obtain an energy efficiency class A ++ (“very high”), corresponding to the estimated specific consumption of heat energy for heating a building of 7.06 kJ / (m3xChsut), which is 84% higher than the standard indicators.

Residents of the area, who at first disapproved of the placement of a construction site near their houses, are now watching with interest the progress of the unusual construction and are looking forward to its completion, realizing that this kindergarten is being built for their children as well. According to preliminary calculations, 58 jobs will also be created here. Educators, nannies and other employees will work in comfortable modern conditions.

TechnoNICOL company is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of roofing, waterproofing and thermal insulation materials. To date, TechnoNICOL's production assets in the "Stone wool" direction include 6 plants for the production of non-combustible insulation with a total capacity of more than 550,000 tons of insulation per year. According to the research of the marketing agency ABARUS Market Research 2012, TechnoNICOL is the leader in the segment of heat-insulating materials based on stone wool, occupying 30%.

All TECHNONICOL products are certified, are of high quality, and comply with international standards. The plant uses the most modern technologies for fiber formation, which makes it possible to produce safe, non-combustible heat-insulating materials that have increased strength characteristics. At the same time, all enterprises of the Company operate on the principle of waste-free production, which preserves the ecology of the environment unchanged.

Knauf is an international company based on the best principles of a family business and has managed to maintain these values, despite the global scale of its activities. Today the international KNAUF group is one of the largest manufacturers of building materials in the world.

Knauf enterprises in the CIS countries are equipped with modern equipment, use the same production technology for the entire international KNAUF group and, as a result, produce building materials of the highest quality, while the quality standards are the same for both Knauf enterprises in Germany and the CIS countries.
