The museum is the "gatehouse" and the first construction of the ROCKmagneten masterplan: according to it, the former cement plant, now actively used by skateboarders and artists, will become a center for rock music. There will be the headquarters of the famous Roskilde rock festival, the high school of rock music, housing for its students and teachers, etc. At the same time, part of the industrial buildings will remain so that the complex retains the atmosphere of informal gatherings and concerts. In particular, one of the large workshops will be adapted for the performances of the musicians.
The Ragnarock Museum is inscribed between the factory buildings, but is immediately noticeable among them thanks to the facade in "gold rivets" - in fact, these are panels of anodized aluminum. The rock aesthetics in the interior is continued by the bright red rivets, which should remind of the velvet interior upholstery of the guitar case. The industrial past is evidenced by the rough concrete parts.
The main component of the project is a huge cantilever arm: there are exhibition facilities and a concert hall. The exposition is built on the principle of immersion in the life of a rock star: approaching the museum, visitors walk the red carpet, then "achieve fame", going up to the concert hall, located at the very edge of the console, and then the "inevitable fall" into the bar follows …
