A complex of four buildings appeared in the city of Mandal, in the area of Lower Malmö - a former industrial zone, which is now being turned into a territory of mixed development. The site is located right by the water, on the banks of the Mandalselva River, which flows into the Mannefjord at this point.
The jagged slabs are a response to the pitched roofs of traditional Norwegian houses The general theme of the project - wooden buildings by the water (Slippen facades are sheathed with cedar wood) - is taken from the Mandala building with its wooden houses located along the river banks. Downpipes, window frames, etc. made invisible so that they do not violate the whole image of the complex.
A long building stretches along the street, and three smaller buildings are erected closer to Mandalselva. The total area of the complex is 7900 m2, it includes 46 apartments of 16 types of layouts, ranging in size from 65 m2 to 175 m2, each has a south-facing balcony, and some have rooms with a mezzanine level. The penthouses received roof terraces.
