A two-family house, also including an apartment on the lower level, was built in the Hövik district of Berum, a suburb of Oslo. The difficult area - the upper part of the wooded slope - made it possible to immerse the building in the natural environment, giving the main role to the landscape. Therefore, the appearance of the house is very restrained: a concrete base (with an apartment independent from the rest of the building), the main part sheathed with cedar wood, topped with a glass volume.

From the outside, there is nothing to say about "dual" use of the house. The exit from each of the halves leads to the garden from its side of the building. On the ground floor, each of the dwellings has a living room and other common areas; panoramic windows in black steel frames "invite" nature inside. On the second tier there are bedrooms with modest-sized windows.

The separation from the residential buildings of the second half of the 20th century, characteristic of Hövik, gives the house a location at the dead end of the street. Given the complexity of the site, 3D scanning was widely used during the preparatory work. The attention to detail has given the home a crisp and clear look, while leaving a dramatic effect to the natural surroundings.
