The Karakum project will become the first multifunctional hotel and business center of the region in Ashgabat. The architects of the project drew inspiration from the image of the Karakum Desert, one of the largest deserts on earth.

The building of an unusual shape and decor, which organically combines modern trends in urban planning and traditions of national architecture, will decorate the northeastern part of the city. According to experts, the project will become another architectural symbol of the dynamic development of the Turkmen capital.

The construction of this facility, which is due to be commissioned in February 2021, will be carried out by the Turkish company Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A. Ş. According to its name, the hotel building will embody the architectural image of the Karakum Desert, one of the unique natural attractions of Turkmenistan. Smooth lines and golden stained-glass windows of buildings repeat the curves of sand dunes, but unlike the natural desert, here guests will be greeted by an oasis of comfort and high-quality service.

The complex will be located near Ashgabat International Airport and approx. 10 km from the center of Ashgabat. On 8 floors of the hotel there will be 8 family suites, 17 standard rooms, 47 deluxe rooms and 15 deluxe rooms. In addition, the complex has a shopping center, a restaurant with 150 seats, conference rooms, a SPA and a gym.

The contours of the roof will have a functional surface made from BEMO-MONRO free-form standing seam patterns, and an optically smooth surface will be realized using the BEMO-SMOOTH system.

Smooth 3D geometry of the roof surface is achieved by the adjustable and parametrically designed BEMO-DOME substructure, which brings the segmented shape of the main structure into a smooth, gently curved appearance. The BEMO-MONRO free-form standing seam system will be made individually for the project, on mobile BEMO machines, directly at the construction site in Ashgabat.
