The stadium is intended to host the 2023 Asian Cup matches, some of which will be held in Xi'an. From the very beginning, the architects took into account the work of the arena after the end of the championship, but its capacity will not change - 60,000 spectators with a total area of about 120,000 m2.

This scale is due to the fact that in the city of 9 million people there are two professional football clubs, in addition, the stadium's program includes a youth sports school with a hostel, medical and conference centers. Cafes and shops, hotels and a press center are planned.

The arena itself will be completed in the summer of 2022, the training facilities and the school - at the end of 2023. The project budget is about 1 billion euros. The construction site is Fengdong New City, more precisely, its business district.

The roof of the stadium with its distinctive silhouette is reminiscent of traditional Chinese architecture. According to the customers, the project combines the architectural motifs of the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang eras, when Xi'an played the role of the capital. To the south, the Qinling Mountains face landscaped terraces with restaurants and entertainment venues that will be open every day. They are shaded by a perimeter roof, and the stands are protected from the sun and rain by a translucent membrane roof of a cable-stayed structure - with minimal weight and material consumption in order to reduce the load on the stadium frame. In this case, the grass on the field gets the required amount of light.

The arena's saddle profile will provide an optimal view for all spectators, especially the views of the center of the field.
