In December 2020, after reconstruction, the 15-storey tower of the Tatneft company was opened, together with the Public Center, a complex of office buildings and a park connecting them, the building is part of the administrative quarter, the new center of the city. The renovated structure has an unusual shape: the tower looks like an octagon with curved corners, and the black mirrored glass on the facade symbolizes flowing oil.

Probably the most difficult element of the facade is a double-glazed unit with bending, which consists of triplex and 2 more types of glass. The triplex is made of AGC tinted glass and Guardian SunGuard HD Silver Gray 32 magnetron-sputtered solar control glass. This combination of products was used to achieve the desired visual effect - flowing oil, which was incorporated into the concept of the assignment by the Arkanika architectural bureau. At the same time, the glass unit contains Guardian СlimaGuard Premium T + glass, which is responsible for heat saving, and Guardian Extra Clear glass. Thus, the double-glazed window on this project performs not only an aesthetic function, but can also help keep the room warm and protect it from the sun.

Guardian SunGuard HD Silver Gray 32 glass, which was used in the construction of the facility, is highly resistant to mechanical stress. This made it possible to create a project with technically complex glass processing: to implement not only convex radial glazing elements that are already familiar on the glazing market, but also innovative ones for Russia - curved and concave ones, using architectural glass with magnetron sputtering.

“Flowing oil - the idea of the architects of the tower project, - says the head of the architectural direction of Guardian Glass Tatiana Bondareva. “To achieve this visual effect, to give the glass and the building a smooth outline, we used bending or“bending”of the glass. The uniqueness is that the glass was bent not only on the "glass" side, but also on the coated side, and this was a very difficult task for the manufacturer of insulating glass units "Mosavtosteklo" and the facade company "Fortex", who showed great skill in working on this complex project … Its success is based on the high quality of the material used, the great professionalism and technical capabilities of our partners."

Originally, the building, completed in 2010, had one underground and 13 aboveground floors. According to the reconstruction project, it received not only a new facade, which is attached to enlarged floor disks, but also additional floors - 14th and 15th, as well as technical rooms on an unexploited roof. The height of the tower is 63.5 m. The tower is part of the administrative cluster of PJSC TATNEFT. In addition to it, in the quarter there are: a twelve-story office building, which was built in the 70s, as well as an entrance group, a dining room and a conference room. The buildings were built at different times and therefore seemed scattered. Architectural Workshop "Arkanika" has created a large-scale reconstruction project to combine the buildings into one modern complex.

In 2017, a project was implemented to overhaul a 12-storey office building in the cluster. The renovation of the facade has completely changed its appearance. For glazing, black glass with an image in the form of circles-drops diminishing in perspective was used. During the reconstruction, Guardian Glass was also used.

In the coming year, the office building and the tower will be connected by a new entrance group. According to the architects' project, all visual solutions of the quarter are coordinated with each other. The buildings of the cluster combine common materials, facades, lighting, as well as the transparency and permeability of the entrance lobby. The renewed quarter forms a new center of the city of Almetyevsk and has already become a point of attraction for the townspeople.
