From the 3rd to the 4th of April in Krasnogorsk, on the territory of the KNAUF GIPS plant, the KNAUF Days forum was held, during which participants could attend numerous master classes using the company's products, excursions around the enterprise, conferences and round tables, as well as listen to lectures by eminent guests of the forum of architects Farshid Mussavi and Kasper Jorgensen.
"Days of Knauf" were held in Krasnogorsk under the slogan "Professionals meet here!" Indeed, in two days the forum was attended by more than two thousand professionals and leading industry experts.
Guests were greeted in one of the warehouses, where a demonstration pavilion with many stands and exposition areas was erected specifically for the event from Knauf's branded materials.
In Germany, such events have been held regularly since 2008, but this is the first time in Russia, this is a new format of communication and an opportunity to see, touch or test the strength of the entire product line of Knauf and its partners - Knauf Insulation (systems of environmentally friendly insulation and sound insulation), KNAUF Industries (expanded polystyrene insulation), KNAUF-PRT (plastering machines) and much more.
Of course, one of the brightest was the stand dedicated to the Iceberg Ice Palace in Sochi, built for the 2014 Olympics using AQUAPANEL slabs. Innovative moisture-resistant sheet materials, allowing to create curved, curved surfaces, were actively used in the interior decoration of the Palace. Knauf materials were used in many other objects.

Also in the pavilion was presented a model of low-rise construction. Knauf complete systems include ceilings, partitions, claddings, floors and facades.
The strength of the Knauf-Superlists was tested with an accurate hit of a soccer ball.
But Knauf materials are able to withstand even less stress. So
the innovative Geofoam material easily holds the weight of the car and is designed for road construction and highway repair. An installation demonstrating the properties of this material was presented at the entrance to the pavilion.

KNAUF CIS group, and guests of honor - Minister of Investment and Innovation of the Moscow Region Gleb Bondarenko, First Vice-President of the Russian Union of Builders Grigory Veretennikov, President of the Union of Design Organizations of the Russian Construction Complex Viktor Novoselov and Deputy Head of Administration of the Krasnogorsk Municipal District Igor Levchenko.
Immediately after the opening, master classes were started at different points of the pavilion.
Jörg Lange, Head of Marketing, conducted a tour of the pavilion for the guests of the forum.
At the same time, delegations of visitors in bright orange vests scattered across the factory floors to get acquainted with the production.
The business program of the event included a number of conferences dedicated to innovative materials and technologies, their application and implementation in construction in our country, as well as the problems of industry development.
The second day of the forum was also rich in events. In the Great Hall of the Pavilion, lectures were first given by Danish architect Kasper Jorgensen from 3XN and one of the most famous women architects Farshid Mussavi from Great Britain.
Kasper Jorgensen talked about how important it is to reveal all the properties of a material: say, bend a tree into an arc, and use hardened aluminum foam to ensure the best acoustics. The architect highlighted five design strategies that their bureau focuses on: green architecture and eco-building, informative design, technological design, design that explores humans and their reactions to architecture, and, finally, experimental design.
Farshid Mussavi, using the example of her works, talked about how an emotionally filled space is created, which at the same time does not impose its emotions on a person and does not limit it in any way, about how a seemingly complex design is created by simple means and how the scale is concealed or lost buildings, and sometimes, thanks to the use of special cladding materials, such as mirrored steel panels, the building itself dissolves into its surroundings.
The discussion about the professional mission of the architect, which touched upon the topic of competitions, which is also relevant for Russia, was held in the format of a round table also with the participation of Kasper and Farshid (recall that both architects took part in the recent competition for the project of the Museum of the Polytechnic University). The discussion was moderated by Alexey Muratov.
And, of course, it is worth noting the entertainment part of the forum program: performances by instrumental ensembles, creative groups and an enchanting fire show, clearly and humorously demonstrating the incredible refractory properties of Knauf-Fireboard slabs.
