The façade of WTC 3 (80 floors, 329 m high), as is typical for the Richard Rogers office, has a load distribution system. The curtain wall consists of mirrored glass and stainless steel and reflects the surrounding buildings, primarily WTC 1 - Freedom Tower, and the sky.
The three lower aboveground and two underground floors of WTC 3 are occupied by shops and cafes. The office lobby is finished with gray and black granite, onyx, corian. The elevator zones are marked in bright red.
Complex
The World Trade Center in southern Manhattan is now almost complete: almost all skyscrapers, memorial structures, and a transport hub designed by Santiago Calatrava have been built. After the official opening of WTC 3 tower this summer, only WTC 2 tower remains unfinished, the foundation of which has already been built, but key tenants have not yet been found for it, and it has not been decided which project will be implemented, the original Norman Foster, or ordered later, by Bjarke Ingels.
The WTC 3 skyscraper also did not immediately find its "inhabitants", so its construction, which began in 2010, was even temporarily suspended. It will now house several large and a number of smaller companies, employing a total of 6,000 employees. The total office space in the tower is 232,200 m2, the floor area ranges from 2,787 m2 to 6,503 m2, and the ceiling height is typically four meters. On the 17th, 60th and 76th floors, there are outdoor terraces with landscaping by Ken Smith. Uninterrupted 360-degree panoramic views of New York from all office spaces. The architects consider this to be their special achievement: they cite the results of the latest research, according to which the mental well-being (and, therefore, performance) of a person increases if he is in a safe space with distant views.
The highly efficient ventilation system is divided into independent floor units, which will allow each tenant to use it as it suits him (for example, during the mass work of his employees on a weekend, turn it on at full capacity, while on other tiers it will remain in sleep mode) … There are also CO2 sensors that regulate the fresh air flow depending on the number of people on the floor. The skyscraper claims to be LEED Gold.
