The task of a modern interior designer, as you know, is to find a balance between laconicism and lightness of forms that make the interior modern and relevant - and a bit of emotionality, or even intrigue that excludes boredom. On the one hand, a good interior should be simple and light - nothing superfluous except, perhaps, works of art. But on the other hand, he needs something "for the soul of the customer" - something that will bring zest, add warmth and accentuate the author's view. Transforms the interior into a work of art that enhances the market value of the space. Revive minimalism.
1. Glass in the interior
This is precisely the goal of delicately revitalizing the space that AGC's interior glass collections pursue: offerings range from completely neutral and transparent to matte and colored. Transparent glass is necessary for modern interiors, both office and private, for delicate zoning of space while preserving visual connections, for example, for complete transparency of meeting rooms in an office open space. It makes the interior crystal, "ringing" or even futuristic-sterile.
2. Frosted glass
A different effect is produced by frosted glass: its soft velor surface transmits light well, adding natural whiteness not related to staining - and in addition, it turns the figures behind such glass into a kind of theater of blurred shadows, when movement is read clearly and details slip away …
Frosted glass, thus, saturates the interior with sensations, softens the solution - in this it is akin to natural materials, fabrics and unpainted wood, which are popular in modern design - since the resulting texture resembles pure, but natural, untreated quartz. Or a shard of glass cut by the sea, which sometimes seems like a precious stone in the surf.
However, the texture, satin-finished by the MATELUX acid etching method, is high-tech, very uniform. Thus, she combines lively naturalness, the warmth of a surface that you want to touch with your hand - with high-tech discipline, the purity of a technologically advanced modern solution.
3. Matting and color
The next step in AGC interior glass technology is the addition of colored lacquer to the opposite glass surface: in the Matelac series, one side is matt, the other is coated with colored lacquer, which we look at through the thickness of the satin glass. Glass "catches" light, reflects it from the colored varnish and scatters it through the matte plane. The colored surface is reliably protected from damage by glass, the material is strong and durable. At the same time, the matte surface is easy to wash and dust-free, keeping it fresh. Velor Matelac can be combined with glossy Lacobel, matching an ideally matte and ideally smooth surface both in texture and in the effect of the surface on the color of the lacquer "substrate".
4. Neutrality and the mirror
Glass of the Matelac Silver series is designed for the most subtle, color-neutral solutions - its reverse side is not colored, but mirrored, which allows you to work with restrained shades, in fact - with light reflected by the background surface and diffused satin texture in the foreground. The manufacturing process for the MNGE mirror coating is also completely environmentally friendly, as is the finished product.
5. Even more transparent, even more neutral
Until recently, the series included three colors: Clear, Bronze, Gray. New glass Matelac Silver CrystalvisionMade on the basis of an exclusive product of the company, absolutely neutral glass
Planibel Crystalvision, whose main features - high transparency and the utmost possible color neutrality - make glass an exceptionally pure example of metallic.
The frosted surface catches the light, the mirrored surface reflects, the light between them appears to be trapped - it seems that the glass is softly illuminated from the inside, but it itself serves as a source of light. It is light, but not white, but silvery.
Here you can appreciate the difference between Matelac Silver Clear and Matelac Silver Crystalvision:
Anna Milovanova, Interior Products Development Manager, AGC Russia
AGC today has a line of 20 frosted glasses: 16 of them are colored, and 4 are a separate series of Matelac Silver (Clear, Gray, Bronze, Crystalvision) based on mirrors. Specific shades appear due to the different colors of the base glasses. We have launched an updated, visually improved version of the Matelac Silver Crystalvision product based on anti-reflective glass. Matelac Silver combines our best practices, three technologies that the company is proud of: the first crystal-clear glass in Russia, environmentally friendly MNGE mirrors and MATELUX acid-etched matting technology. All three form the basis of AGC's most popular products - anti-reflective glass, mirrors and frosted glass. That is why the new product Matelac Silver Crystalvision is the result of many years of work to improve glass production technology. In this case, it is Crystalvision, the first of this series on the Russian market. It is created according to a unique recipe and is devoid of shades of green, yellow and blue, typical for ordinary glasses.
Decorative glass Matelac Silver Crystalvision is characterized by high mechanical strength, compatibility with most modern sealants and adhesives, resistance to corrosion and aggressive chemical cleaning agents. The material is easy to install and durable, allows you to keep interior objects exactly the same as the author intended.

The new product will harmoniously fit into both private and commercial and office interiors. Due to its neutrality, it will not distract office workers from their current tasks, and will not become an excessive accent in the space created as a result of the reconstruction of a historic building. And its luminosity will enhance the effectiveness of natural lighting, raising the mood of everyone who is inside.
Meanwhile, high-transparency frosted glass, created on the basis of Crystalvision frosted glass, is not only a light matte element in the interior. It contains a secret, an emotional leitmotif, an attention-grabbing subtlety that can turn a “simple” neutral solution into a truly “expensive” one endowed with a special, discreet value.
To be honest, I would prefer not to talk about this material in order to leave it as a "feature" of our bureau. Matelac Silver Crystalvision is my favorite color from the entire collection. Disappearing, dissolving, immaterial, it is at the same time like aluminum and water-color; it refracts all shades of the surrounding world, adding to them a light translucent haze. But this also makes him demanding of the environment, although frosted glass is many times easier to look after in the so-called "real" life. It will be very sad if this wonderful material is surrounded by hastily made knots or poor lighting.
By the way, we have experience in using frosted glass. In a recent project, we have used a different kind of glass from the same range, Matelac White Pure, matt, even for finishing furniture in the spatial expression of the Poison Drop brand. There it plays the role of a tactile attractor due to its silky surface.
In residential buildings and apartments, Matelac Silver Crystalvision is used for finishing kitchen and other furniture facades, as well as the front panel of sliding wardrobes. In public and commercial spaces, this glass can be used in executive offices, reception areas or walls in any other space. Metallic silver is also suitable for creating doors that are all or part of glass.
