Within the framework of the scientific and technical conference organized by the Yukon Engineering company, the partners-manufacturers of facing materials - Agrob Buchtal, Laminated Plastics Plant, TD Alcotek, Architecture of Wellbeing, Terreal, Element and Buildx held held presentations on the latest trends in the use of cladding materials on modern ventilated facades and discussed the most pressing issues of the industry with the conference participants.

Composite material Bildex and volumetric facades Gradas

A report on the use of Bildex aluminum composite panels (ACP) was presented by Alexander Eliseev, manager for work with design organizations. He spoke about the technological possibilities of using Bildex composite material and Gradas volumetric facades in the implementation of architectural projects. Today the company has ten years of successful work experience, 60 regional representatives in Russia, its own design bureau and construction and installation division. Among the implemented projects, one can note a modern media center in Sochi, built with the use of Bildex ACP and EWIGOL architectural coatings, the Avilon car dealership in Moscow, for which Bildex panels with PE coating were used, etc. The material has a number of significant advantages - and this is fire safety, and moisture resistance, and high performance characteristics, which are provided thanks to special coatings that are resistant to ultraviolet radiation and sharp temperature fluctuations.

Terreal - a pioneer in ventilated terracotta facades

Daria Krutova, representative of Terreal, director of business development in Eastern Europe, on the second day of the conference gave a lecture “Terracotta facade in modern architecture”. Terreal, a pioneer in ventilated terracotta façades, today offers the widest range of materials for all types of buildings. The ventilated terracotta façade was created over 20 years ago by the collaboration of renowned architect Renzo Piano and terracotta specialists. Since then, hundreds of projects have been successfully implemented around the world: a clinic in France, built according to the Architecture Studio project, the Joy City multifunctional complex in China (product: Pierak Slim), the main police complex in Belgium, Jean Nouvel, and many others.

Having started its history in 1945, today "Laminated Materials Plant" is the largest manufacturer of HPL plastic in Russia. The plant manufactures and sells products under the Stoplast brand. The production uses exclusively imported raw materials. Today, more than a hundred decors are used, almost any graphic image can become a decor for HPL. In addition, the possibility of various plastic processing to create original solutions is provided. Wellbeing architecture - facade decor and structures made of glass fiber reinforced concrete (architectural concrete)

The company "Architecture of Prosperity" is one of the leaders in the facade decor market, specializing in the production of products from glass fiber reinforced concrete, architectural concrete and architectural gypsum. The main advantages of decor made from these materials are strength, durability and a fairly low weight of products - 40-60% lower than the standard one. Thanks to the fiberglass reinforcement, fiberglass reinforced concrete has an increased water resistance compared to conventional concrete. The material is resistant to any weather conditions, paints and textured layers are well applied to it. In addition, it is resistant to chemical attack, fireproof and has good sound insulation.

*** The speech of Olga Volkova, a researcher at the Department of Metals Protection and Surface Technology, NUST MISIS, at the end of the second day of the conference, was devoted to the corrosion of elements of hinged facade structures, including fasteners, and the durability of load-bearing structures. Fasteners made of A2 and A4 corrosion-resistant steels and low-carbon steels with anti-corrosion coatings have the best characteristics. According to Volkova, a deeper study and assessment of the corrosion resistance and durability of building structures and fasteners is needed today, as well as the creation of a database on the degree of corrosive wear and the residual life of the supporting structures of hinged facade systems when operating in various climatic zones. "It is necessary to create calculation methods for assessing the corrosion resistance and durability of new materials," Olga Volkova is convinced, "Since the experience of recent years shows that the use of new materials in resource-based responsible construction is not justified without control tests."
