A report on the use of Bildex aluminum composite panels (ACP) was presented by Alexander Eliseev, manager for work with design organizations. He spoke about the technological possibilities of using Bildex composite material and Gradas volumetric facades in the implementation of architectural projects. The main advantages of decor made from these materials are strength, durability and a fairly low weight of products - 40-60% lower than the standard one. Thanks to the fiberglass reinforcement, fiberglass reinforced concrete has an increased water resistance compared to conventional concrete. *** The speech of Olga Volkova, a researcher at the Department of Metals Protection and Surface Technology, NUST MISIS, at the end of the second day of the conference, was devoted to the corrosion of elements of hinged facade structures, including fasteners, and the durability of load-bearing structures. Fasteners made of A2 and A4 corrosion-resistant steels and low-carbon steels with anti-corrosion coatings have the best characteristics. According to Volkova, a deeper study and assessment of the corrosion resistance and durability of building structures and fasteners is needed today, as well as the creation of a database on the degree of corrosive wear and the residual life of the supporting structures of hinged facade systems when operating in various climatic zones. "It is necessary to create calculation methods for assessing the corrosion resistance and durability of new materials," Olga Volkova is convinced, "Since the experience of recent years shows that the use of new materials in resource-based responsible construction is not justified without control tests."
