KONE won the contract for the supply of elevators, escalators and passenger conveyors for the Kuntsevo Plaza project in Moscow, which will be implemented as part of the redevelopment of the Kapitoliy shopping center.
38 KONE MonoSpace elevators will be installed in the new multifunctional complex with a height of 75 meters® Special, 1 KONE TranSys ™ freight elevator, 47 KONE TravelMaster ™ escalators and 14 KONE Travel Master ™ 115 passenger conveyors.
Also, a small freight elevator with a speed of 0.63 m / s will be installed in the building (the standard speed for elevators of this type is 0.3 m / s). The contract also includes a contract for equipment maintenance for 10 years.
Located in the Kuntsevo district, in the west of Moscow, this multifunctional complex will become a new landmark in the city. The project with an area of 242,000 m² will include a modern shopping center, 2 residential buildings, modern offices, and a parking lot with 2,000 parking spaces.
A special feature of the equipment for this project will be a unique design: a combination of mirrored polished and brushed stainless steel will be used in the decoration of the cabins, and the escalators and passenger conveyors will be illuminated from the inside.

The architects of the project are Jerde Partnership, the general contractor is ENKA Construction. The completion of the construction of the new center is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014.
