The new title of the award - Renault Traffic Future Awards - did not affect its content. She notes the projects already implemented, which combine an original formal solution, functionality, principles of resource conservation and social responsibility, and efficiency. This year, the award, presented under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and with the support of the German Union of Architects, was presented by a jury chaired by architect Christoph Ingenhoven. Of the fifty projects submitted for bridges, garages, gas stations and tunnels, four were selected:
- Mitte railway station in Solingen by the Cologne workshop ASTOC Architects + Planners;
- Dreilanderbrücke bridge in Weil am Rhein by architect Dietmar Feichtinger;
- the reconstructed Dresden Main Station by Norman Foster's workshop (also shortlisted for this year's Sterling Prize);
- Spannbandbrücke bridge for the Federal Garden Exhibition 2007 (BUGA 2007) in Ronneburg by architect and engineer Richard J. Dietrich.
As a prize, the winners were awarded sculptures by Thomas Schönhauer.
