The park will stretch for 1 km along the river from the City side, opposite the Tate Modern gallery. The space 12 m wide will serve as a "bridge" replacing the embankment missing on this site. It should be completed by the summer of 2012 to serve Londoners and visitors during the Olympics.
In addition to greenery and paths, the park has eight themed pavilions - both for exhibitions dedicated to London and for various events by the water. The budget of the project is 60 million pounds, it will be implemented at the expense of private investors.
