From 18 to 21 May, as part of the Golden Section festival, the Central House of Architects will host events: a presentation by Moscow architectural bureaus, a discussion on church architecture, round tables on social infrastructure and the role of an architect in preserving cultural heritage, a lecture by Maurizio Molin on Italian design and solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the festival. The VKHUTEMAS gallery will host a presentation of the catalog of the exhibition of Mikhail Olenev's art. The Moscow International Furniture Salon will open at Crocus Expo.
In St. Petersburg, the opening of the fifth, jubilee, design week will take place, within the framework of which the Design Week Expo will be held. The second all-Russian forum of living cities Urbanfest will open in New York. The annual Office & Design Dialogue conference will take place on May 21 at Swissotel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow. The conference will include an exhibition of design projects for the state corporation Rosatom, a master class by Christos Passas (Zaha Hadid's architectural studio), a speech by Sergei Tchoban and the Best Office Awards ceremony. The Avant-Garde Center invites everyone to attend a lecture on constructivism in Kharkov.
On Friday, the ZIL cultural center will host the presentation of the new issue of the speech: magazine, where Dorte Mandrup will deliver a lecture on Scandinavian architecture for children. A forum "Harmony of versatility", dedicated to spatial development, will open in St. Petersburg. On Sunday, the "Freedom of Access" project will conduct a tour of Vorontsovo Pole Street.
