The linear park will run through the entire city - from the foot of the Catalan Pyrenees to the seashore - and will link together many districts, historical and architectural monuments, squares and boulevards. Designed not only for recreation, but also for the movement of pedestrians and cyclists, this green lane will become an alternative to the bustle of the center of Barcelona, an example of a new, "slow" city life. In addition, it will contribute to an increase in the diversity of flora and fauna within the metropolis, and the fountains of the park will remind you of the historical water supply system of the Comtal Rivers, which supplied the city with water from Roman times to the 19th century.
The territory of the new recreational zone will take the place of the railway tracks placed in the tunnel. The total area of the park will be 22.2 hectares.
