This is Hadid's third project for leading Chinese developers SOHO: work is already underway on her Chaoyangmen SOHO Multifunctional Complex in Beijing and Hongqiao SOHO Economic Park in Shanghai.
"Wangjing SOHO" consists of three flowing towers, designed to resemble the loess "mountains" characteristic of China. In their lower part, as well as in the nearby low-rise buildings, shops and restaurants are planned. The rest of the total 521 thousand m2 will be occupied by offices. The surrounding area will be converted into a park with an artificial lake.
The complex will be located on one of the most expensive plots in the Chinese capital, on the territory of the reconstructed area of Wangjing, next to two metro stations and one light metro station, along the highway leading to the airport, which is very close.
