The opening ceremony will take place today at 19:00, and the festival will last until next Thursday. The curator of the festival is Nikita Asadov. He comments on the chosen topic - “Moscow beyond the Moscow Ring Road” as follows: “Moscow has long stepped across the border of the Moscow Ring Road, and today the real periphery of the city is not sleeping areas within its borders, but cities and villages of the Moscow region. New Moscow is a clear example of the expansion of the capital beyond its administrative boundaries. Within the framework of the festival, young architects will offer their vision of the development of the Moscow agglomeration - both the creation of new settlements and the improvement of existing ones."
One of the main special projects of Perspective is the Synthesis educational program, which will combine video and animation, photography, illustration, sound design, installations, media objects, virtual reality and other areas of technology and art with architecture. The program includes more than 30 educational modules and panel discussions with the participation of teachers and curators of MARSH, MARCHI, MSHK, as well as representatives of large architectural bureaus, urbanists, industrial designers, environmental designers, media artists, scientists, programmers and musicians. Another project curated by Ilya Zalivukhin and Konstantin Larin is “New Moscow. Another city . All visitors to the CDA will be invited to take part in an experimental study, part of which will be an architectural installation #Moscow where I want … Anyone can take part in its creation - you need to mark on the map of Moscow the place where you want to live, relax and work. To attend the lecture and workshop within the framework of the special project, you must register.
The third special project will present to the guests of the festival a documentary film "Constructive", dedicated to the avant-garde buildings that have survived to this day in Moscow.
The main exposition will include works by participants in the Housing Without Borders, Electrolyte Boulevard and Tree Photo Contests. Their results will be summed up on April 28.
