In addition, the material has excellent thermal insulation properties, retaining heat in cold weather and preventing the roof from heating up in summer. Firing is carried out in a 120 m long tunnel kiln, which guarantees the preservation of the geometric shape and color of the tiles.
The strength of the material made it possible to make the product thinner and less material-intensive. The manufacturer managed to significantly reduce the weight of the tiles without losing quality and thereby achieve a reduction in the total cost of the product due to savings in logistics costs and energy costs for production. It is important to note that the thinning of the tiles did not affect their sound insulation properties. On the contrary, the level of sound insulation of this material is practically unparalleled among all existing brands.
Another feature of the production of La Escandella tiles is a very fine grinding of clay (fraction of 0.02 mm, while for most manufacturers this figure is on average 0.4 mm). This factor significantly affects the quality and aesthetic characteristics of the product, and in addition, it allows you to extend the life of the ceramic roof by several decades.
The wide range of colors of the material includes more than 20 shades. Moreover, all Spanish tiles are made without the use of dyes.
