UN Studio architects have named their work for the Arsenal exhibition "Fitting Room". They turned to the topic of the relationship between the material world and architecture. On the one hand, it can change reality: as designers of clothes, architects offer people with the help of their projects to change their image and personality, take into account the age and income of the customer in their work. On the other hand, many internal and external values influence their creativity: both ideas originally belonging to the sphere of architecture and its traditions, and concepts rooted in other areas.

How to respond to such a situation? Can architecture be truly independent? UN Studio suggests experimenting with different approaches to the problem, and perhaps gaining autonomy in short moments of liberation.

The structure of the installation "Fitting Room - Architectural Fashion" is associated with the idea of fabric panels: the planes of the floor, ceiling and walls smoothly flow into one another.

The exposition of the pavilion of the Republic of Cyprus is associated with another recreational sphere - the field of tourism. The assignment of the curated international competition of "inventive architecture" suggested a new - architectural - look at the familiar elements (or even clichés) of holidays in Cyprus.

The first place was taken by the architect from St. Petersburg Maxim Bataev with the project "Hotel Terrace - Universal Space". The finalists included two more participants from Russia - Maria Asestrova (Coffee Shop and Open Public Space) and Mikhail Vasiliev (Lunch in the Clouds).
