Taking advantage of Morocco's hot maritime climate, Edouard François, a well-known proponent of vertical gardening, proposed turning building facades into gardens.
Three residential 16-storey and 12-storey office towers will receive balconies-terraces around the perimeter of each tier, closed with openwork fences in the spirit of traditional Islamic architecture. Jasmine and white bougainvillea will be planted in residential buildings on these balconies, and the office building will be decorated with bougainvillea in bright colors.
In addition, the Gardens of Anfa complex includes low-rise residential buildings, a variety of public spaces and three underground car parks. At ground level, Washingtonia-style palms, flowers, trees and bushes with white and blue flowers will grow.
The complex with a total area of 50,000 m2 will be ready by 2017.
