ASCON has launched Renga Architecture, a Russian product for three-dimensional architectural and construction design. The new system combines the visuals of a 3D modeler with the convenience of a familiar 2D editor, making it easy to create a building information model (BIM). It summarizes the long-term experience of ASCON with domestic and foreign design organizations and combines an object-oriented approach to design with free modeling technologies.
The product is aimed at design organizations of various sizes: from small and medium-sized companies, workshops, bureaus and design departments of industrial enterprises to design institutes.
Renga Architecture allows designers and architects to work in an unlimited three-dimensional space and quickly create 3D projects of industrial and civil buildings using familiar elements - wall, column, beam, window and others. But at the same time, the system does not make the user a hostage of "unfilled" reference books, the lack of the required configuration of one or another element, thereby limiting the freedom of creativity.
Renga Architecture gives you the opportunity to step back from the designer's options with prototype style editors that help you design the most complex buildings and solve non-standard architectural problems.
IN Renga the architect creates not only a three-dimensional, but also an information model of the building, where various designations are put down: sections, facades, levels. A full-fledged 2D graphic editor, implemented in the "Drawing" mode, allows literally "by hand" to supplement drawings with the necessary graphic primitives - lines, arcs, hatches, fills, elevations, linear dimensions … At the same time, the views placed on the drawing are associatively connected with a 3D model, and any change to the model instantly changes the geometry in the drawing.
Another feature of the revolutionary ASCON product is an intuitive context-oriented interface that has embodied the results of specialized research. The color scheme, the placement of the model in space, navigation, grouping of commands take into account the logic of interaction between the system and the user and provide a comfortable work of a specialist for more than eight hours of design.
Renga Architecture uses Horizon-Based Ambient Occlusion technology from NVIDIA, the world leader in programmable GPU technology, to graphically render models. HBAO + technology makes rendering realistic due to the correct shading calculation - the light picture of the scene looks flawless.
