The results of the competition for an architectural and urban planning solution for a multifunctional residential complex in the Ilyinskoye settlement, not far from the Arkhangelskoye estate, organized by the Morton Group of Companies and the Union of Moscow Architects, were announced in early August. The competition project took into account, as the organizers say, the recommendations of the Public Council and the Main Department of Architecture of the Moscow Region, as well as the interests of local residents. The jury reviewed nine projects and selected three winners; Here are all three winning projects.
First place
Author: V. N. Lukin
The area is formed by three community centers: cultural, business and shopping. They are connected to each other by a green pedestrian strip. For recreation and walks of local residents, the author proposes the creation of a park with ponds, where a summer theater and a cafe will appear. The project was recognized as the most relevant to the competition requirements. The jury noted the clearly defined structure of the development and the well-thought-out system of transport services for the territory.
Second place
Authors: A. A. Melnichenko, E. S. Karetina, I. V. Britikov
The main idea of this project was the pyramid principle: the number of storeys of buildings decreases from the center to the periphery. Thus, the architects manage to fit the new microdistrict as organically as possible into the existing development, taking into account the existing recreational areas. The construction of social infrastructure facilities is proposed to be evenly distributed among the construction phases. The project was highly appreciated by the jury, but the experts considered the transport system insufficiently developed.
Third place

The architects sought to make the new area functionally filled and at the same time preserve the picturesque landscapes of the existing recreational areas. The fragmented territory of the complex is brought together thanks to the symbolic ring located in its center. Inside the ring is a green public area. The project provides for four types of buildings: quarterly, vacant, linear and mixed. All of them are distributed throughout the area depending on natural conditions and planning restrictions.
