Although since 1975 the ensemble has been included in the list of protected by the state monuments, all this time it was used for its intended purpose. Initially, 120 people were supposed to study there, later, thanks to extensions, it was turned into a boarding school for 500 students.
In the course of the work, most of the additions of the GDR era are demolished, double rooms are converted into single rooms, the dining room is expanded, etc.
Thanks to the renovation worth 6.5 million euros, in the near future, the school will open its doors to those wishing to study in the specialties of interior decorator, carpenter, parquet flooring and orthopedic technician.
