To get to Zodchestvo today, one had to go to the underground passage for horses from the Alexander Garden, and find volunteers there. The entrance is in the second entrance, the festival is in the basement of the Manege, where it seems to have never been held. It's not bad here, but a little stuffy and cramped, especially because of the sounds rushing from different directions; the program of the festival gathers more and more events that are held simultaneously in several conference halls and halls, as well as at the stands, and at some stands music is played, and the cacophony merges into a metaphor of the oversaturation of the modern media space: when they talk a lot, but what exactly, sometimes you can't figure it out or you don't have time to grasp it. In short, they talk a lot.

This year, the curators of Zodchestvo were

selected - out of 26 applications - Vladimir Kuzmin and Vladislav Savinkin, who 6 and 12 years ago were already engaged in the design of the festival (but were not, moreover, curators). Savinkin / Kuzmin proposed the theme “Re-Context”, accentuating the aspiration for the future through rethinking the past and the prefix “re”, which will most of all remind Muscovites of the word “renovation”. As a result, the program included, in particular, the Re-school of Narine Tyutcheva, and the Re-Prom Agency "Center", focusing on reconstruction, preservation and heritage; however, it cannot be said that the festival turned to heritage in any special way, and these projects look more like inlays-inlays to a common stream, inclined towards improvement and urbanism.

Expositionally, it turned out as follows: the hall is divided into five naves, well readable when viewed from the balcony from the entrance. The central nave was given over to the projects of the festival program; all of them were placed by curators and designers in the structures of orange frame towers (who would doubt it!). It turns out that in each "tower", not only of ivory, but of orange bars, there is a hero: Svyatoslav Murunov, for example, fulfilling his promise to work at the festival with an audience, already on the first day held a seminar there, and there was enough a lot of people, someone even stood. Alexey Komov replaced himself with a table with a red star; his project, by the way, is called especially clearly - reaction; and it doesn't matter that we are talking about actionist construction of wooden structures, the red star speaks of reaction without words. Agency "Center" put a brochure with a study - the most relevant at the moment - the problem of industrial. Narine Tyutcheva laid her tower sideways, like a horizontal skyscraper. Project Russia announces a new reincarnation of the magazine, combined with a catalog of the best buildings. In the farthest right corner, Schukhov lab demonstrates the Re-Sustainability project, analyzing the dynamics of the development of Moscow housing (the House on Mosfilmovskaya becomes a separate point), and offers a certain ideal that looks like the house of Sergei Skuratov, but less tall, mid-rise and endowed various advantages of an ecological and multifunctional plan. Almost imperceptible on the wall in front of the main stage (but perhaps it is worth noticing) is a retrospective of Felix Novikov's projects for Uzbekistan.

Well-known projects, for example: New Holland, the Museum of the Blockade, - but, juggling with the prefix "re" more virtuoso than all those present, St. Petersburg also raises topics that are somewhat forgotten - for example, it talks about the need to update the RAP (detailed planning projects) "for large planning areas of the city ".

As you know, "Zodchestvo" consists of a festival program, regional representations and architectural workshops (however, the last one or two), and a review competition, which results in "Crystal Daedalus" and several dozen other awards. Applicants, participants in the competition, buildings and projects, are exhibited in the right nave and there, again, we must admit, it is a bit crowded. As always, there are many St. Petersburg projects and bureaus: Nikita Yavein, Sergey Oreshkin, Mikhail Mamoshin, and quite a few Moscow ones: AB ASADOV, Ostozhenka, Metrogiprotrans, TOTEMENT. The nominees for the award are not clearly identified, but it can be assumed that they are grouped closer to the entrance and these are several projects of Mikhail Mamoshin, Oceania of Asadov's bureau, ZhK in Kraskovo Ostozhenki, Europa-City nps tchoban voss, SPEECH and AB Evgeny Gerasimov & Partners. Or the Shelepikha, Khoroshevskaya, CSKA and Petrovsky Park stations of the Moscow metro. Or maybe not. Will be known soon. This year, Daedalus for the construction and Tatlin for the project were joined by the Echo Leonidov prize for young architects.
