The Imprint Center is part of the Paradise City complex with various leisure facilities and hotels. They are located very close to the largest airport in South Korea - Incheon, the distance between them is less than a kilometer. The Imprint consists of two buildings, one for a nightclub and the other for an amusement park. At the request of the customer, both buildings had to do without windows and be combined with the surrounding buildings.
The architects of MVRDV proposed a way out: to "print" the facades of neighboring structures on the walls of new buildings. Hence the name The Imprint - "imprint". To emphasize this decision, the walls of the new buildings are made white, only the entrance to the nightclub is painted in gold, and this sparkling spot is visible even from landing aircraft.
Another attraction was the design of the entrances to buildings in the form of a raised drapery, in the interpretation of the authors - a theater curtain. Behind it, visitors are greeted by media floors and reflective mirrored ceilings and walls - as if preparing for the entertainment that awaits them further.
The facades are made of 3,869 glass fiber reinforced concrete panels, many of which have a unique shape and were therefore manufactured using formwork with an individual profile.
