2019 BIM contest
This year, the participants of the competition are faced with the task of developing a BIM model of a social and cultural center for the Pyramids district in the suburbs of Paris. The fourth competition raises a stronger question of urban and social context than ever before. The jury will assess the quality of the architectural solution, as well as the relevance of the selected BIM design method.

Architectural Museum in Berlin
Another idea competition from ARCHmedium is dedicated to the architecture of Berlin. For centuries, Berlin has been one of the main witnesses of the greatest cultural, religious and political transformations in Europe. The city's rich heritage makes it possible to trace - through streets, monuments and buildings - the history of an entire continent. Today, participants need to imagine what a Berlin museum could be, the main mission of which will be to accumulate and disseminate knowledge about architecture. It should become not just a cultural institution, but a multifaceted platform that awakens a critical spirit. The museum will remind you that architecture and urbanism are the business of every citizen. Students (bachelors who received a degree no more than three years ago, or active undergraduates and graduate students), as well as young architects who graduated from the university no more than 10 years ago, can take part.

Bologna Roman Theater Competition to transform the former Roman theater in Bologna into a center for the sale and promotion of food, wine and handicrafts made in Italy. The market will become not just a platform for sale and consumption, but a real center of culture. SCC 2019. Build It Yourself
The competition is held by the archiSTART team for the fourth time. The task of the participants is to offer options for outdoor furniture for the embankment of the Italian city of San Cataldo. Here in August 2019 will be held the annual International Architectural Vacation (IAH Summer), so the completed project of the winner will be seen by professionals from all over the world. This year, it is necessary to present a structure that will connect the beach of San Cataldo with the promenade. The theme is inspired by the ONDEsea installation created last year during the IAHsummer2018 workshop.

Gymnasium in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok

The eyes of the city
Source: szhkbiennale.org The competition is held within the framework of the Urbanism and Architecture Biennale (UABB). Architects, planners, designers, as well as scientists, philosophers and thinkers are invited to design a project for the main UABB exposition in Shenzhen. Design projects, research papers and critical essays on the theme "The eyes of the city" are accepted for the competition. The section is supervised by Carlo Ratti and the Polytechnic University of Turin.
Previously, the eyes of the city were its inhabitants, now the ability to "see" has acquired an architectural space - thanks to the development of artificial intelligence and deep learning technology. How will the new scenario affect the behavior of the townspeople? How can city planners and ordinary citizens use the ability to collect real-time data? What are the ethical implications of AI-driven processes? The participants of the competition must answer these and other questions in their works.

Experimental Architectural Image: House of Music in Porto
The Internet is overflowing with billions of architectural photographs, and architects themselves are now being asked to design "something for Instagram." Photographing, which used to be a moment of creativity, has become a passive exercise of banal repetition. The organizers of the competition propose to move to active action and try to re-imagine - draw - one of the iconic buildings and find a new way of depicting it. This year, Rem Koolhaas' House of Music in Port was chosen as a model for experiments. Participants are offered absolute freedom of self-expression in terms of scale, technique, level of abstraction.
