The Khudozhestvenny cinema on Arbat Square is the oldest in Moscow and one of the first in the world. It was opened on November 10, 1909 and still - for more than a hundred years - has been working as intended. The building of the cinema has been repaired, reconstructed and restored more than once. It was even planned to be demolished after the bombing during the Second World War. Nevertheless, the cinema survived and did not stop showing films until the restoration, which began in 2014.
Now, at the beginning of 2020, it has finally come to the installation of the roof, which is being renewed using RHEINZINK metal.

One of the difficulties was the large length of the roofing pictures - 10.5 meters. All of them were produced in the RHEINZINK LLC service center using Schlebach SPM branded equipment.
The abnormally warm winter in Moscow made it possible to start preparatory work on the roof in January. And now the installation of its topcoat is in full swing. After restoration, the historic cinema, which will be given a fresh look by the new durable RHEINZINK titanium-zinc roof, will gain a new, long life.
