On its 111 floors, the tower accommodates (from bottom to top): 208,000 m2 of offices, 414 apartments (75,000 m2) and 273 hotel rooms (46,000 m2). Its stepped podium houses the hotel's banquet hall and reception space, as well as another 47,000 m2 of space with shops, a restaurant and a cinema. During rush hour, the complex will accommodate about 30,000 people.
CTF Finance Center is the tallest in Guangzhou (known in history as Canton), the third largest city in the PRC and the center of the Pearl River estuary, home to 42 million people. It is located in the Central Business District, across the esplanade street from the previous record holder - 439 meters
Towers of the International Financial Center designed by Wilkinson Eyre (2010). Like the neighbor, the facade of the KPF tower is lined with light stripes: in his case, these are ceramic profiles, which also serve to protect the interior from the sun. This material was chosen due to its relatively low "soiling" and resistance to environmental influences. In addition, the profiles could be easily and inexpensively produced in Chinese factories, which also reduced the cost of shipping the material and the associated CO2 emissions. According to the architects, CTF Finance Center is the tallest building in the world with ceramic details on the facades, in addition, it is a reference to the era of the first skyscrapers, which were decorated with terracotta panels in the USA at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The silhouette of the new tower is stepped and "crystalline". Each drop in elevation marks a change in function and layout; these points have been transformed into terraces, and spectacular glazed ceilings have been installed in the rooms under them.
In the underground levels of the podium, there are transfer points for public transport, and there are also overhead passages to neighboring buildings. The underground parking can accommodate 1705 cars.
