A horseshoe-shaped office building (11 floors) is complemented by a residential building with 109 apartments (15 floors), about half of which are classified as affordable housing. In the center is a new plaza - a full-fledged public space for the not-so-prosperous - despite its central location - St. Giles. But the main positive aspect of the new building was its bright facades: the outer perimeter of the complex is covered with 13 "panels" of green, orange, yellow and red colors, consisting of ceramic tiles. This material not only brought bright colors to the gray-brown landscape of central London, but also became a very practical solution: ceramics will not lose color saturation over the years, and the tile fastening system makes the facades self-cleaning, which is one of the reasons for the project's resource efficiency certificate "excellent" BREEAM. Vertical glazed shafts are arranged between individual "panels", which, like polychromy, visually break up the monolithic volume of the office building; in the future, they will be equipped with winter gardens.
The courtyard facade of the complex is also decorated with ceramic tiles, but in a gray color - so as not to distract from the actual courtyard-square. To connect this enclosed space with the surrounding neighborhoods, the ground floor of the complex is fully glazed, and the courtyard can be accessed from several aisles located where the streets and lanes of historic St. Giles once ran. Restaurants, cafes and shops will open in the glazed spaces of the first tier.
The color scheme of the facades is continued in the interiors: along with neutral white and light gray tones, the same colors are used there as outside the building, and their shades are verified even in such details as the stair railings and the numbers of the floor indicators in the elevator. The office complex has a rooftop garden for employees.
