The Krapivna project has rightfully become one of the favorites of this Biennale. Beautiful, subtle, multifaceted - these are not all definitions. Experienced architects, however, admit that Yevgeny Ass's concept is flawless, and there are questions about student projects - well, that's completely normal. The Krapivna project echoes the nearby Perm exposition and encourages comparison. Indeed, both projects are dedicated to the revival of cities, although Krapivna is now a village, but in the 18th century it was a city; both are done very competently, multi-layered; in a European way. Both are real in their own way: according to rumors, the regional administration and the leadership of the Tolstoy Museum have become interested in the Krapivna project, and Perm, as you know, is generally the only city for which the European mater-plan has been ordered and supported. True, in the Krapivna project, the cultural layer is much stronger, which immediately makes it very Russian, in contrast to the progressive, but coldish plan for Perm. Even the word "resurrection" in its name already says a lot to the rumor.
