This canopy will allow the roof of the building to be used as a terrace for lectures and concerts, even in the hot summer months. The structure is a lightweight structure made of tubes 15 cm in diameter: they form a frame reminiscent of a Gothic vault, touching the ground at four points. The filling of this "skeleton" is a transparent polymer film with evenly included opaque, yellow areas. The frame is also painted yellow, as the lemon tone is defining for the museum. It was he who made the main one for the building by Rafael Vignoli, who completed its reconstruction in 2008.
There will also be four "reservoirs" in yellow, installed at the 4 pillars of the structure: cushions of the same shade will be placed in them, which will serve as seats for the audience. The lightness of the entire structure will make it possible to do without additional roof reinforcement. The canopy will be ready for summer 2012.
