The International Forum "Preservation of Cultural Heritage" opens on November 22 at the All-Russian Exhibition Center. Within the framework of the new event, the organizers tried to combine all possible areas of activity in the field of preserving the national heritage. At the exhibition "The Industry of Restoration, Preservation, Protection and Popularization of Cultural Heritage" it will be possible to get acquainted with various initiatives in the field of the protection of cultural objects. The specialists will be able to discuss strategies in the field of heritage during the congress “Innovations in the field of restoration, preservation and protection of cultural heritage”. In addition, the forum will host the jubilee plenum of the All-Russian Security Society and a number of round tables. Among the announced topics of the latter: "Problems and prospects of training in the field of restoration in the modern market", "Wood culture: past and present."
Heritage will also become a central theme for a new discussion club organized by the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design and the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage (Moskomnaslediya). Experts and all citizens who are not indifferent to this problem will discuss the pressing issues of preserving architectural monuments in the White Chambers. The topic of the first meeting, which will discuss the legacy of St. Petersburg, is entitled “How to preserve without destroying: economic, political and administrative aspects”, the second discussion is “Who is more important: an official or a public figure?” - will be dedicated to the Moscow experience.
The Moscow State Academy of Public Utilities and Construction (MGAKHiS) will also remember the past: the 120th anniversary of the birth of the architect Konstantin Melnikov will be celebrated there with the conference "Historical and Cultural Heritage in the Hands of Youth", which will be held on November 26. Students will present their research on the work of K. S. Melnikov, who taught at the Academy for 16 years, several reports will be devoted to the problems of the architectural and historical heritage of Moscow and the preservation of the historical landscape of the All-Russian Exhibition Center (VDNKh).
But the Society for the Study of the Russian Manor this year, paying tribute to the Russian-Italian year, for its annual conference chose the theme "Images of Italy in the Russian manor culture". In the wing "Ruin" of the Museum of Architecture, on November 22, IA Kazus will deliver a lecture "Stalin's Art Deco". And the Moscow Region "Archfarm" next weekend again invites young artists and novice architects to visit. This time a series of lectures and workshops dedicated to eco-architecture, the production of art objects and wooden structures will be held there in a special "Greenhouse". In three days, the participants will prepare their own projects of eco-houses, in which they can live comfortably both in summer and in winter.
