Eternit EQUITONE façade panels help to create the individual appearance of a building while performing a variety of functions. They are equally well suited for projects of a wide variety of styles and geometries.

EQUITONE facade "puzzles" for the festival hall in Erle, Austria

Standard facade panels are rectangular in shape, which initially limits creativity. We have to deal with the primitive "layout" of the material on the plane of the facade. EQUITONE pigmented panels remove these restrictions. At the request of the architect, they can take any shape, which was used by the creators of the project of the festival hall in the Tyrol mountains.

The building of the festival hall, built according to the project of the Bureau "Delugan Maysl", with a total area of 10 thousand m2 located in the town of Erl. There is a spacious foyer and an auditorium for 732 permanent and 130 additional seats.

The geometry of the building takes into account the peculiarities of the landscape: the hall is located in the mountains, and the "hard" appearance of its facade responds to the "stone" surroundings. The cracks and fractures of the rocks reproduce the structure of the façade made of natural gray panels.

The transition from the foyer to the concert hall is accompanied by spatial and atmospheric changes: pressure and asymmetry give way to restraint and static balance. There is a change of materials - hard fiber cement of the facade gives way to wood, muted colors create a warm atmosphere of anticipation of the holiday.

Decorative and functional "carved" facade panels EQUITONE

Do-it-yourself EQUITONE fiber cement panels are ideal for perforation. The holes can be of any shape - round, oval or in the form of slots, and on the cut they have the same tone as the face of the panel. The holes can be cut by the manufacturer, who will carry out this at the Eternit factory, or they can be made by yourself at the construction site.

Architects have the opportunity to decorate the facade with contrasting details that hide rivets and seams from eyes, make the appearance of the building individual or help protect the interior from excess light.

Decorative openings in the panels significantly improve ventilation. Often, building fire protection requirements necessitate closing the air gap in a hinged ventilated facade. In this case, moisture can accumulate in the gap between the façade panel and the thermal insulation and cause corrosion of the metal substructure.

Decorative holes in the panels lend lightness to the facade of the building and recall the traditional architecture of the Mediterranean.
