The Aimani Kadyrova Mosque, the wife of the first President of Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov, and the mother of the current president of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, was built in Argun in a little over three years from 2011 to 2014. The mosque, which is also poetically called "Mother's Heart", is one of the largest in Chechnya.

The building of the mosque was designed by the Turkish architect Deniz Ceyhun Baikan and is distinguished by its emphasized modern architecture, which is especially noticeable against the background of the general trend towards retrospective copying of revered antiquities. So, if the building of the Akhmat Kadyrov Mosque in Grozny, comparable in size and importance for the republic, is a reworking of the architectural forms of the Blue Mosque, then the Argun mosque embodies the images of Sinan's creativity boldly and non-literally.

The entire volume of the building is subordinated to a giant, with a diagonal of 78 m, sailing vault, similar to a shawl stretched by the wind, which visibly rests on the ground with only four point supports in the corners of the square. Three additional angles - "sails" protrude from the glass arched sections of the walls - like the half-domes of St. Sophia of Constantinople, they serve to strengthen the structure and at the same time balance the composition: the vault of the mosque seems to consist of two plates overlapping each other at an angle of 45 °. At the base of the additional "sails" of the vault, laconic steles of 55 m high minarets are installed. In the center of a large vault without supports, a hemispherical dome with a diameter of 24 m grows. It hovers over the interior space, without violating its integrity, and along the northeastern wall, four tiers stretch out in arcs balconies.

It should be noted that the Baikan project has changed somewhat during the implementation process. So, instead of the crystal chandelier-chandelier hanging directly under the dome, a choros-shaped chandelier appeared in the shape of a crescent. A large "star-shaped" arabesque adorned the sail vault and the dome from the inner and outer sides.

Openwork ornaments have always been one of the main decorative elements in the architecture of mosques. The finest arabesque patterns, mosaics, colored inlay, carving of marble capitals - all this traditionally made up the interior of the most famous ancient Muslim mosques. The architecture of the mosque in Argun follows the traditions exactly, using modern finishing materials that are not inferior to their historical counterparts. Thus, the ornaments and a large star-shaped arabesque of the sailing dome were made by Kalzip.® according to individual drawings.

According to the sketches of the architects, the Kalzip design bureau® made calculations and designed all the elements of the ornament for decorating the dome - taking into account its radius and various angles of inclination of the sail roof. According to the finished drawings, the details of the ornament were made from a flat sheet of anodized aluminum of golden yellow color, which ultimately created a complex and recognizable pattern of the dome. This golden star pattern was mounted on top of the blue Kalzip panels.® in Kupfer Antik colors. The combination of light blue with gold gave a beautiful association with a clear sky, illuminated by the sun's rays.

It should be noted that Kalzip® not only did the decor, but also completely installed the roofing system.

The classic Kalzip roof system® for installation on a concrete base, in this case, it was necessary to significantly rework due to the peculiarities of the geometry of the dome-sail and the complexity of architectural tasks. Usually Kalzip aluminum profiled sheets® are attached to the supporting base using clips (clamps). In this case, aluminum pipes, bent along the radius, were first installed over the entire surface of the dome, profiled sheets were attached to them, which snap into the fold (this is the actual roofing system).

At the stage of assembling the "architectural" part of the roof, fastening brackets and a special profile were installed on the seam, which hold the blue aluminum panels cut from a Kupfer Antik flat sheet with a thickness of 1.9 mm according to Kalzip drawings® … As already mentioned, the shape of each sheet was predetermined by calculations by the Kalzip design bureau.®, but the sheets were cut in accordance with the project directly at the construction site, before installation, which made it possible to avoid any inaccuracies and errors.

Installing the golden star arabesque is the final stage of installation. The details of the ornament were installed on stands-profiles of the same golden hue, which, among other things, hid the heating cables and lighting modules inside them. The project provides for a huge number of the latter, since the vault of the mosque, which changes its color depending on the weather from blue to blue during the day, is illuminated at night by 50,000 LED lamps and 96 spotlights installed on the minarets.
