In the construction of a residential building in Arkhangelsk at 34 Lomonosov Avenue, thermal inserts made of high-quality PENOPLEX® thermal insulation are used.

Balcony slabs made of reinforced concrete are insulated with thermal inserts. The material has high thermal conductivity and needs an increase in heat transfer resistance. This is facilitated by perforation made of energy-efficient material, in this case - thermal liners from PENOPLEX® thermal insulation. Without them, a rupture of the heat-protective circuit will occur, and the house will bear significant heat loss.

Thermal liners are made of extruded polystyrene foam, the thermal conductivity of which is several tens of times lower than that of concrete, namely, not higher than 0.034 W / m ∙ ° С in the most unfavorable conditions. The heat-shielding ability of structures with such thermal liners increases significantly. In addition, PENOPLEX® extruded polystyrene foam is characterized by zero water absorption, which maintains its thermal conductivity stable throughout, at least, a 50-year service life. It is important to note the high strength of the material, its environmental safety, absolute biostability, preventing the growth of fungus and mold, as well as a high temperature range of application, resistance to temperature extremes, including alternating ones.

LLC "PENOPLEKS SPb" has extensive experience in the use of thermal liners in the construction of objects for various purposes. More details on the design and installation of structural units with thermal inserts are set out in the "Guidelines for the construction of thermal inserts from PENOPLEX® extruded polystyrene foam in monolithic housing construction". The document developed by the specialists of the PENOPLEX SPb company and approved by the experts of the Research Institute of Building Physics of the RAASN fully complies with the requirements of the aforementioned SP 50.13330.2012, as well as SP 230.1325800.2015. “Structures enclosing buildings. Characteristics of heat engineering heterogeneities "and other regulations.

As for the production of thermal liners, they are made directly from PENOPLEX ® boards right at the construction site. For this, the slabs are cut in accordance with the dimensions determined by the calculations.
