The residential towers Tors Torn, with a height of 100 m, the largest of them, will be among the tallest buildings in Sweden. They will serve as the "gateway" to the new Hagastaden district, adjacent to the center of Stockholm.
The architects, led by Rainier de Graf, abandoned the uniformity that is characteristic of the facades of most skyscrapers. Therefore, all 195 Tors Torn apartments are designed as separate blocks, and their protruding volumes alternate with niche-loggias. Thanks to such free outlines, the towers seem "informal", in them de Graf sees "home comfort and even humanism."
Skyscrapers have already received their own names - "Innovation" and "Spiral". A bar and exhibition space will be opened on the upper floors of one of them, and a fitness club, a library, a children's center and shops will be located on the lower floors of both.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2015.
